You can either place them in a flat ceramic pot or in a long-necked vase since most bamboos are usually quite taller than most plants.

1. Place them on any pot. Most people put them on chinese ceramic pots or long-necked vase since most bamboo stalks can grow really tall.

2. The pot or vase should have enough water to keep its stalks under water. Water is its life and thus it keep bamboo plants healthy.

3. Bamboo plants are quite dependent on water. However, tap water coming from our faucet may harm it since tap water consists of chlorine. It is advised to keep tap water left out for 24-48 hours to distill or purify it.

4. For safer and cleaner approach, do not leave any open water not replaced or not thrown as it may allow bacteria or flies to live in it. Replace vase water every week. Keep the water vase clean.

5. Aside from watering its stalks, Spray bamboo leaves with water to keep the leaves healthy and clean off dirt on it that are creating unhealthy brown leaves.

6. Fertilizers in various form, mostly in liquid form or African violet fertilizer for bamboo may be used only once every 4months as too much fertilizer may produce yellow leaves.

8. Bamboo should not be overly exposed to sunlight. If unhealthy leaves grow, place them into a shadier location.

9. Trim the bamboo of unhealthy stalks and leaves. Maintain its height and health. You may cut a piece of stalk from your bamboo plant and regrow it on another pot.
